The germans got dressed

I got something glued together

And it’s not my fingers. Imagine that! I think this marks the most terrifying hurdle. Actually putting something together. I decided to try and go with the suggested list from the El Alamein starter set. Its a tiny force, but I think it’s a good way to learn the basics of moving, shooting, pinning etc.

So…so far I have an officer (he’s been dubbed Mr. Useless, cause all he carries is a small pistol). A team of 5: 1 LMG, 1 SMG and 3 rifelmen. They do need a bit of clean up and mold line removal, but I am really pleased with the quality of this plastic set.

Oh…I do have an ‘officers map case’ on the sprue. No clue where that goes, but I’m guessing somewhere on the officers belt? as I said…complete newbie here.

The beginnings

I’m seriously a newb when it comes to WW2. What little I know, is from the history lessons 25-30 years ago, in school. An they had a distinct ‘danish’ view to what happened and why. I wanna know more. Understand more. And I wanna have fun at the same time. So I’m jumping into Bolt Action. Hoping it will be a great way to know more.

It’s quite a daunting task, cause I seriously know nothing. Don’t know the weapons, the equipment, the colors. So I can only improve from here 🙂

Since Denmark was ‘at war’ (for 6 hours I think. We were the country to capitulate the fastest during WW2 :p) with the germans, I’ve chosen to play ‘our enemies’. To focus on their side to begin with.
